I wish I understood German, or in this case, Romanian, because suddenly a chorus of several voices saying “Ceauşescu!” rang out. I recall wanting desperately to know what they were talking about that would bring him up.

Thank you for the mini Florence, Italy tour. Florence is one of my favorite cities. The hike to the top of the Duomo is a wonderful treat. Worth every step. The gardens are a wonderful place to enjoy your surroundings without the tourist masses.
